Here is a list of things you should consider bringing when going on a camp out.

Basics-

All Permission slips, health forms & money turned in ?

Bedroll or sleeping bag
(bedroll can be 2 blankets and a sheet)

Small pillow, if needed

Sleepwear (is it cold or warm outside?)

Flashlight (extra batteries) - maybe extra flashlight if you have an extra to spare.

Personal Kit -- use a gallon size freezer ziplock bag and inside of it place these items::: soap (you can put your soap in a sandwich size zip lock), toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, comb, sunscreen, bug repellent and other personal needs)

Change of clothing (for each day at camp)

2 pair shoes (like old tennis shoes)

Sweater or jacket (if weather dictates)

Raingear (coat, hat, boots-if you have them)
((bring SEVERAL plastic grocery sacks to use over socks and shoes during rainy weather))

Towel and washcloth

Dunking Bag - inside bag have these things: Drinking cup (with handle), plate, bowl, knife, fork, spoon

Pocket notebook and pencil

Head covering or bandana

Large water bottle - the kind with the sports top is best.

Roll of toilet paper

WHISTLE WITH STRING TO WEAR AROUND NECK

All items, except perhaps the sleeping bag, should fit into ONE duffel bag or backpack. -- if it is suppose to be a rainy weekend, you might want to place the sleeping bag and the duffel bag in LARGE trash bags for protection from the wetness.

LABEL ALL ITEMS WITH NAME and Troop 273 (if the troop number fits)

PLEASE REMEMBER TO CONSIDER WHAT THE WEATHER WILL MOST PROBABLY BE LIKE WHEN PACKING YOUR THINGS !!!
